René McCarthy

René joined WHN in November 2023 having previously commenced her training as a solicitor with Latimer Lee Solicitors in Bury supporting its commercial litigation and family law teams.

Based at WHN’s Blackburn office, René supports the Commercial Property team at Blackburn having previously worked in the Family team based at the Bury office.

René works in the Commercial Property team acting for limited companies on a range of Commercial Property matters including the transactional process of property acquisition and sales, commercial remortgages, and commercial leases for a broad range of commercial buildings.

René attained a First-class Bachelor of Laws degree and Governors’ Highest Academic Achievement Award attained from The University of Bolton in 2020. Rene was also an Award Winner for The Bolton Law Society High Academic Achievement.

René attained a Commendation in her Legal Practice Course attained from The University of Law in Manchester in July 2024, before preparing for qualification in December 2024.

René has acquired a broad range of sector experience throughout her training contract, acting for both private clients and commercial clients, before deciding to specialise in Commercial Property.
