Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall has strengthened its specialist private client department with the appointment of experienced solicitor, Helen Law.
Helen, is based at the firm’s Haslingden office, will help clients on a range of wills, trust and tax planning matters. She joins Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall having previously worked at Fieldings Porter in Bolton where she was Head of the Private Client Department.
Helen specialises in advising the elderly and vulnerable and is a professional member of the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), the leading worldwide professional body of practitioners in the field of trusts, estates and related issues. She is also a panel solicitor for MENCAP, a member of Solicitors for the Elderly (SFE) and the regional co-ordinator for its Lancashire Group.
She started her legal career at Woodcock & Sons in 1990, completing her training and becoming a solicitor in 1992. Helen re-joins the firm after former WHN partner, David Smith retired earlier in the year.
Helen, who is married to David and lives with him in Holcombe, commented: “It gives me great pleasure to return to WHN and help boost its legal services for individuals.
