It has been suggested that family judges who are dealing with child care cases should speak to those children involved to gain a better understanding of their thoughts and feelings and how they are being affected by proceedings.
The government has set out a number of proposals in the Children and Families Bill that have been welcomed by many however some feel as if they do not go far enough to help improve the care system. Some of the proposals that have been welcomed include reducing the delay in care cases and adoption cases.
It has been recommended that only the very specialist family judges should be allowed to sit in family courts and these judges should speak to the children involved.
