The corporate team at the Bury office of Lancashire law firm Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall, has advised on the sale of Atlas Consulting Group to Chase Templeton.
Atlas Consulting, a specialist healthcare group, operated from its offices in Rochdale. It has been acquired by private insurance specialist Chase Templeton for an undisclosed figure.
Jon Tuer and Liz Magnall, co-founders and directors of Atlas Consulting Group, are leaving to focus on their other business interests outside of insurance but all remaining Atlas staff have joined Chase Templeton.
Jon said: “While Liz and I were keen to fully realise the value of our shareholdings in order to focus on our other business interests, we were equally keen to ensure both our staff and clients were going to be well looked after going forwards.
“We were also greatly reassured by Chase Templeton’s proven track record in successfully integrating acquired businesses.”
Woodocks Haworth and Nuttall’s legal team comprised of Katie Hardiman who heads up the corporate team and led the transaction, employment partner Michael Shroot and corporate partner David Buskey.
Katie said: “Atlas Consulting Group has historically specialised in employee health benefits with a key focus on SMEs and the corporate market. There is a good cultural fit between Chase Templeton and Atlas.
“The deal is a win-win result for all parties; Chase Templeton moves from strength to strength, Atlas’s customers and staff will have continuity, while Jon and Liz are able to realise years of hard work and pursue new opportunities.”
