WHN Solicitors has appointed four women lawyers in key positions as part of its strategic growth programme.
Louise Desoer, Justine Harris, Carolyn Ford and Racheal Jordan have taken up new roles across WHN’s Bury and Haslingden offices.
Louise has been appointed as a conveyancing legal executive, Justine joins as a commercial paralegal, while Carolyn and Racheal have both been promoted to the role of paralegal.

Louise has been appointed as a conveyancing legal executive with a remit to manage a varied residential caseload including sales, purchases, re-mortgages and transfers of equity.
Originally from Preston, Louise joins the firm’s Bury office as a chartered legal executive with 19 years’ experience in the legal services sector.
Meanwhile, Justine has joined WHN’s corporate and commercial team at Bury as a part-time commercial paralegal and is currently completing a legal practice certificate (LPC) at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Justine grew up in Rossendale before attending Bradford and Napier universities. She returned to Rossendale 16 years ago and became a legal professional after a successful career in facilities management. This included a role as operations manager for Honeywell Building Solutions, managing a mechanical and electrical maintenance contract that involved providing services to 262 court and tribunal buildings.
Another key appointment sees Carolyn Ford promoted to paralegal in the family department at WHN’s Bury office. She will work closely with family law solicitors Katharine Marshall and Mark Taylor, assisting them on care proceedings and to obtain injunctions in support of domestic violence victims, as well as advising parents going through public law outline (PLO) proceedings.
Carolyn joined WHN in 2009 as a secretary in the family team and also works in other areas of law including divorce, Children Act proceedings, and change of name deeds.
Racheal Jordan has been promoted to paralegal at WHN’s Haslingden office where she is a member of the probate team, responsible for dealing with all aspects of cases.
Racheal’s new role also includes collecting estate assets and preparing probate papers. Racheal comes from Lumb in Rossendale and also joined the firm as a secretary. She will celebrate her tenth anniversary at WHN in September this year.
