Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall has thrown its weight behind a festive Bury Council campaign to support local children in care.
The firm has donated a flurry of gifts to the council’s Fostering Services Team to ensure children across Bury have a bright Christmas. It is the ninth year that WHN has pledged its support to the cause.
The gifts, which total £250 and include pyjamas, DVDs, toiletries and games, will be wrapped and gifted to youngsters at Bury Council’s annual Looked after Children Christmas party.
Kate Allsop, solicitor at Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall, said: “With continued cuts to services at the heart of our local community, it’s really important that businesses extend a hand and offer support where they can.
“We’ve backed Bury Children’s Services for a number of years now. It’s a really worthy cause and a great chance to spread the Christmas cheer by putting a smile on the faces of local children. It will help ensure every child across Bury has a sparkling Christmas.”
Brenda Jones, Team Manager at Bury Council’s Fostering Services, added: “The continued support from local businesses such as WHN is very much appreciated by the service and especially the children who will really enjoy opening their presents on Christmas day, so thank you.”
