WHN invests in new IT

Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall is planning for growth after investing in a new state-of-the-art cloud-based IT system.

WHN, which has offices across Greater Manchester and Lancashire, has invested in document hosting software and new financial and case management systems.

The move will allow its solicitors to work on-the-go from client premises, reduce time spent on administration while providing greater security when storing client records.

Mike Gillibrand, finance director at Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall, said: “The decision is client led. In a modern, flexible world the right IT can make a huge difference in how law firms deliver legal services.

“More of our solicitors are working offsite, on the move with clients, and our cloud based software will give them the tools to bring greater efficiencies into the way they advise clients, accessing important documents as and when they need them.

“Whether it’s working with businesses or individuals, due to the nature of our business, we must have a rigorous and robust document storage management system. The process in how we store and recover documents will now be quicker and more secure, bringing greater operational efficiencies.”

The new systems have been implemented across Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall’s seven offices in Blackburn, Accrington, Bacup, Bury, Haslingden, Great Harwood and Rawtenstall.

Converge Technology Specialists has provided the cloud computing service, while Eclipse Legal Systems has implemented the accountancy and case management systems into WHN’s operational framework.

Mike added: “When I joined in 2014, part of my new role was to look at new ways of boosting productivity while offering an even better standard of service to our clients. This investment will help us achieve that while implementing more resourceful ways of working and giving us a better infrastructure for growth.”
