More than two-thirds of people in the UK still don’t have a Will. Woodcocks, Haworth and Nuttall and Rossendale Hospice have joined forces to bring about change with the launch of a ‘Make a Will Fortnight’.
The initiative, which takes place from June 1 and runs for two weeks, aims to encourage people who have not yet made a Will to take action to protect their families.
Solicitors at WHN’s Rossendale, Haslingden and Bacup offices will be supporting ‘Make a Will Fortnight’ and are waiving legal fees for preparing Wills. Instead they will encourage clients to make a donation to Rossendale Hospice.
Stephen Parr, Head of Private Client Department at Woodcocks, Haworth and Nuttall said: “We are delighted to support such a worthwhile initiative that offers much needed help and advice to the people of Rossendale whilst also raising much needed funds for a cause that’s very close to our hearts.”
Paul Gauntlett, Head of Fundraising at the Hospice said: “We hope that this dedicated ‘Make a Will Fortnight’ will encourage people who need to make a Will to take action. This offers you the chance to make sure your family and loved ones are protected should the worst happen. Naturally, we hope that you will also be inspired to make a donation to help Rossendale Hospice to continue to care for our patients and their families at the same time”.
