Leading law firm, Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall, has appointed experienced chartered accountant, Mike Gillibrand as finance director.
Mike, who has over 10 years’ experience in the legal sector, joins from a specialist firm of Solicitors in Manchester.
Mike’s career highlights include a position as finance partner at a chartered accountants and insolvency practioners where he was heavily involved with the successful £13m sale of the business to an accountancy consolidator. He also worked at Garstangs in Bolton, renowned for its work with the Serious Fraud Office in London.
The 53 year-old from Littleborough, will head up the finance and administration department across the firm’s seven offices in Accrington, Bacup, Bury, Blackburn, Haslingden, Great Harwood and Rawtenstall.

Mike has a degree in Law from the University of Birmingham. He represented the university at football at West Bromwich Albion’s ground, the Hawthorns, in the British Universities National Final. He prefers to spectate now but is hopeful to improve his golf handicap by joining the Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall golf team.
