Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall Solicitors (WHN) has received praise after being named a finalist in this year’s Red Rose Awards.
The firm, which has eight offices across Lancashire and Greater Manchester, has scooped a place in the ‘Professional Services’ category shortlist of the prestigious awards.
Organised by Lancashire Business View, the awards acknowledge business excellence throughout the county by celebrating those that are not only surviving but are thriving in challenging times.
WHN Solicitors, which employs 105 people, stormed to success at 2019’s Red Rose Awards finals by securing the legal services accolade, and is hoping for a repeat performance in the professional services category this year.
The latest credit comes in recognition of a number of key innovations made over the past year, including the introduction of an out-of-hours live web chat service, as well as new virtual appointments via video and telephone conferencing that enabled people to access expert legal advice throughout the lockdowns.
The firm also recently secured two highly sought-after places in the 2022 edition of Legal 500, known in the industry as the definitive guide to lawyers – ranking in the North West region for both commercial litigation, and corporate and commercial law.
In addition, WHN received national praise from Chambers and Partners, which featured the firm in the North West Real Estate Litigation category of its 2022 guide to the UK’s leading lawyers, with director, Daniel Long, also ranked as an individual.
The firm will now go on to take part in an intensive day of robust interviewing in front of a panel of expert judges.
The winners of all 22 categories are set to be named at the Red Rose Awards ceremony dinner, which will see more than 1,000 business figures gather at the Winter Gardens Blackpool on June 9.
Julie Sutherland, business development and marketing manager at WHN Solicitors, said, “We are absolutely delighted to have been shortlisted for this year’s award. Like so many other firms across the area, we have had to overcome some challenges that have been thrown our way as a result of the pandemic.
“Even though it’s been tough, we do feel that many of the changes that we have introduced have meant that our clients are actually receiving an even higher level of client service. As a firm, we have ambitious plans and will continue to put the local area at the heart of what we do. We are so pleased to have just been shortlisted – it is recognition of the hard work of everyone across the firm.”
