WHN helped to ensure some of the area’s most deprived children enjoyed a wonderful Christmas.
The firm’s Bury and Blackburn offices topped up Santa’s sack with festive gifts for parties held by Bury Council’s fostering services team and Community CVS in Blackburn.
Thirty toys and chocolates, including a VTech baby walker, trucks, Lego, books, and toiletries, were handed out by Father Christmas to almost 260 children and foster carers at Bury Council’s annual fostering services Christmas party.
WHN Solicitors helped make sure Santa had a special present for every child who attended.
This is the eleventh year WHN has supported the party, which was a huge success. Children were captivated by an entertainer whose special guests included Paw Patrol and Belle from The Beauty and the Beast.
The firm’s Blackburn office also organised a toy donation to Blackburn-based charity Community CVS. Gifts were handed out to children at the charity’s VOICE family club Christmas party.
Katharine Marshall, associate solicitor at WHN, said: “It’s so important for communities to come together to make sure less fortunate children have a Christmas they can truly remember.
“As part of the local community, WHN is happy to lend a hand and give these children – along with their families and carers – a great party and a gift from Santa. We have been involved for 11 years now, and hope very much to continue into the future.”
In addition, WHN’s staff at all seven offices have collected and donated non-perishable goods to three food banks in their local areas. The goods were distributed on December 21.
