Karen joined Woodcocks Haworth and Nuttall Solicitors in 2005 and is a chartered legal executive at the firm’s Blackburn office.
She qualified as a Fellow of The Chartered Institute of Legal Executives in 2004 and has worked in the legal profession for over 25 years.
Specialising in all aspects of family law, Karen has extensive experience in divorce proceedings, non-molestation orders and occupation orders on behalf of victims of domestic abuse, child arrangements and special guardianship, as well as change of name deeds for both adults and children.
Karen focuses primarily on matters involving children and their families, with an emphasis on representing adults at public law outline/pre-proceedings meetings and in public law care proceedings. She is regularly instructed by parents in cases involving long-standing misuse of drugs and alcohol, mental health problems and injuries to children.
As a member of Resolution, Karen is committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes, considering the needs of the whole family and in particular the best interests of children. Karen is also a qualified youth worker.
